Written in 1977. I was moving from Houston to Corpus Christi. A lot of what we owned was tied onto the bed of my '65 Chevy short bed, which
kept blowing tires. A fellow in Victoria gave me a tire and rim. He said, 'Here, take it. You need it worse than I do,' which was absolutely right.
